Official Transport

The bus departs North St at 10:15 am and we will be able to pick up at South Normanton and at all junctions on the M1 south. The stop off due to popular demand is likely to be the same as for the Kettering trips at Geddington where there are three good pubs including the award winning Star Inn. As always we will return to Alfreton at the final whistle, and should be back in Alfreton for 6:45pm. Price as usual is £12 adult & £6 all under 16's.  Seats can be booked either by seeing Mark at the Hinckley away game on Sat Nov 14th, or by contacting Mark on 01773 836251 or Wozza on 07795 552721.

The cheapest adult return fare I could find as of 15:30 Mon 16th Nov was £47.40. This journey is complicated and requires bus connection from Kettering so check with http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/ before travel.

By Car

Take the M1 south down to J19 and exit left onto the A14 east. Continue approx 18 miles and exit at J7 left onto the A43 for Corby. Continue approx 1 mile and exit left onto the A6003 north (Uppingham Road). Continue approx 7 miles going past the junction with the A6014 and the junction with the A427 until you get to the junction with the A6116. Turn right at the island (Rockingham Road). The ground is on the right at the corner of the A6003 & A6116 opposite Rockingham Castle. The entrance to the ground is between the rugby club and hotel Elizabeth.

Pubs

I don't know of any pubs in Corby that are worth a visit and therfore cannot recommend any. The ground is on the outskirts of the town. The nearest pub to the ground that I can think of is Sondes Arms, Main Street, Rockingham LE16 8TG. Approx half mile along the A6003.

Pubs en-route

Bulls Head, Kelmarsh Rd, Arthingworth, LE16 8JZ - A large 19th-century village pub with seperate dinning room that is a recent CAMRA award winner. Four guest beers on to add to Everards Tiger, Everards Original, & Wells Eagle. Just off the A508 near to the junction with the A14. More InfoMap

Wharf Inn, Welford, NN6 6JQ - Just off the A14 on the A1599 just north of the village of Welford. Main bar and dinning area, and enclosed beer garden next to the Grand Junction Canal. Three guest beers including a local micro on as well as Banks's Bitter & Marstons Pedigree. Reviews. Map.

Star Inn, 2 Bridge St, Geddington, NN14 1AZ - Stone built with wood panells and settees inside in the snug. Also has lounge, dinning room, and pool room. Popular for it's good food and guest ales and always includes a local brew. Just to the north east of Kettering out on the A43 but close enough to the ground to be worth a mention.
