AGM 2009
This years AGM proved to be a well attended, positive and productive event and we thank everybody for their attendance and input.
It is encouraging to know that the Supporters Association has yet again had a very successful year, in fact in spite of the current economical climate the Association finds itself in a very sound financial situation.
This is of course is due to all the hard work in fund raising by the Association members and the popularity in the away travel we provide, with a significant increase in numbers traveling with us last season. The Association would to thank all those who have spent their hard earned money with us so we can financially help the Football Club.
With regards to travel to away matches, although a price increase has been forced upon us the Association voted and agreed that we will retain the services of McEwens Travel to provide our away transport. To cover this extra cost the Association voted and agreed a small increase of £1 to the current fares.
Ian McRoy presented his ideas to celebrate the clubs 50th Anniversary and will be announcing events and dates in the near future. Also new fundraising ideas were presented by Dave Bedlow and Alan Williams for consideration.
Once again the Supporters Association will be making a donation to the Football Club and will announce the amount and date as soon as possible.
The selection of Officials and Committee members took place with the introduction of a new position of membership secretary.
The following being elected:
Chairman: J Staimar.
Secretary: I McRoy.
Treasurer: M Thorpe.
Vice Chairman: S Hardy.
Membership Secretary: A Williams.
Committee: R Hardy, P Roughton,
S Charlton, L Olney,
The position of membership secretary was introduced because of a drop in our numbers and will promote the benefits of the Association to new and previous members and will hopefully achieve a target membership of 100.
Finally the Association committee would like to thank all the volunteers and all the Association members for your support last season, without you this Association would not be the success it is.

BUS PRICE RISE
Unfortunately it was decided at the 2009 AGM that we have to increase the price of traveling on official supporters association transport for the coming season. This unavoidable hike in price is due to increased charges by the bus and coach companies and comes about because of the increase in the price of fuel.
The adult fare will go up £1 from £11 to £12 and under 16's will go up £1 from £5 to £6.
Remember this unique arrangement is for all games except Eastwood and Ilkeston regardless of how far it is and regardless of how many people are traveling and there will still be transport run to EVERY league, FA Cup, and FA Trophy game.
The price for our local derby games at Eastwood and Ilkeston will be £5 adults and £2.50 under 16's.
Full details of the AGM will appear here soon.
Meetings No official meetings planned. Weekly informal meetings are still held at The Vic on Thursday evenings. The meetings are unofficial and informal but there is always plenty of things to discuss and everyone is welcome. Other Stuff
